Corianne W. Lau is a partner in Dentons’ Honolulu office. As an Employment and Government Contracts lawyer, Cori loves the challenge of helping employers navigate the maze of employment laws required to effectively manage their employment relationships, and advising businesses on procurement-related and other government contracts requirements. Whether she’s “gently persuading” or facing off against an opponent or a government agency, Cori’s administrative law and litigation experience serve her clients well. “I help companies avoid or prevent disputes, but if they get into a fight, I also advise and aggressively advocate for them at each step to produce the best results.”

Cori counsels companies ranging from small businesses to large multinational corporations. She has a special affinity for helping nonprofits solve problems and stay out of trouble. In fact, her passion for community service shows through in her numerous nonprofit affiliations. She is a director of the Hawai`i State Bar Association and the East-West Center Foundation, and is first vice-president of the Friends of the Hawai’i State Art Museum. She is a former president of Hawai`i Women lawyers and the Hawai`i Women’s Legal Foundation. Cori served on the Board of Governors of the East-West Center and is a former director of the Legal Aid Society of Hawai`i and the YWCA of O`ahu, among other civic groups. Her professional affiliations include membership in the National Contract Management Association, DRI (Employment Law Committee) and the Society for Human Resource Management.
