NWT Raises Minimum Wage To Highest In Canada

NWT will then have the highest minimum wage rate in Canada. Currently, Nunavut has the highest minimum wage at $11.00 per hour.

Currently the NWT minimum wage is $10.00 an hour, the lowest rate in Canada. The NWT minimum wage rate has not been changed since 2011.

The increase in the minimum wage was recommended to the Government by groups including the NWT Chamber of Commerce.
